Who is responsible
Focused Nursing Prep Classes Ltd., a federal corporation based in London, Ontario, is responsible for the personal information described here. Our privacy contact is reachable at team@focusnursing.com.
What we collect
- When you send the form on this site. To book a call or reserve a seat, the form asks for your name, phone number, email, the exam you are preparing for, the program you are interested in and any notes you add. It sends them to us through LeadConnector (HighLevel), where we keep our contact records, together with the page you sent it from and, if you arrived from an ad or a tagged link, that link's tracking tags. We use them to reply to you, book your call or send your registration form. We text you only if you tick a box on the form to agree.
- When you use the chat on this site. The chat window asks for your name, phone number and message, and sends them to us through LeadConnector (HighLevel), the platform we use to reply by text message, phone and email.
- When you message, call or email us. We receive what you send: usually your name, phone number, email, where you are in the licensing process and your exam plans.
- When you register for a batch. Our registration form asks for your name, date of birth, email, phone number and address; your nursing education and graduation year; your current job and experience; your nursing licence number; and whether you are already eligible to write your exam. You send it through this site; it goes to LeadConnector (HighLevel) with your contact record, and we email you a copy of your answers and keep a copy in our mailbox. We use these to place you in the right program, guide you on eligibility, and give you access to classes and recordings through your email. We also keep a record of your payment. You pay online through HighLevel's invoice page: card payments are processed by Stripe, and if you choose to pay in instalments, Klarna or Afterpay receive the details they need for that plan. We never see or store your full card number.
- In live classes. Classes run on Zoom and are recorded. If your camera or microphone is on, you may appear or be heard in the recording. Recordings are shared only with enrolled students, through the email address on their registration.
- When you visit the site. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, to run and secure the site.
We do not use advertising cookies. The chat window does keep a visit record in your browser and sends it to HighLevel each time a page loads, before you type anything: the pages you open here, how you arrived (for example from a search or a link), and your approximate location based on your IP address. HighLevel uses it to show us where enquiries come from.
Analytics, only if you accept. If you tap Accept on the cookie notice, the site loads Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and see which pages and links are used, and sends that to Google. We use it only to improve the site, never for advertising. If you decline, it never loads. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.
Why we use it
To answer your questions, arrange your call, enrol you in a batch, send class details and recordings, take payment, and keep the records the law requires. We do not sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the classes, and only for that purpose: Vercel hosts this site, HighLevel runs the chat, our contact records and our text messages, WhatsApp and Google carry our messages and email, Zoom runs the live classes, and Stripe (with Klarna or Afterpay, if you choose them) processes payments. Some of them store data outside Canada, where it may be accessible under local law. None of this sharing includes text messaging opt-in data or consent; see Text messages below.
Text messages
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts, for example by ticking a box on the form or through the chat on this site, we may text you about your enquiry, your call, new batches and offers, class reminders and payments. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
How long we keep it
Enquiries we keep only as long as we need them to reply and follow up, then delete them. Registration and payment records we keep for as long as Canadian tax law requires.
Your choices
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or withdraw consent to further messages at any time by replying STOP to a text or emailing team@focusnursing.com. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
