Who is the 4-Week Retaker Program for?

The 4-Week Retaker Program is for nurses who have written the NCLEX-RN, NCLEX-PN, REx-PN or CPNRE and not passed, whether once or several times. It starts from what held you back last time.

How long is the retaker program, and what does it cost?

The 4-Week Retaker Program is 4 weeks of live online classes, for $449 CAD, reduced from $499. Exam fees are separate: every retake is a new registration and a new fee.

How do I reserve my seat in the retaker program?

Send your name and exam to Mandeep Dhaliwal, RN, on WhatsApp at +1 (519) 617-6776, or use the seat request form on the retaker program page. Mandeep sends you the registration form and an invoice you pay online, by card or, in Canada, in instalments with Klarna or Afterpay, and you join the live classes when your batch starts.

Can I get a refund?

Course fees at Focused Nursing Prep Classes are non-refundable. If a batch is cancelled or rescheduled, you can move to another batch or get a full refund. The full refund policy is in the terms of use.

What does the 1-on-1 performance evaluation cover?

In the 4-Week Retaker Program, your previous attempt and your practice results are reviewed with you one to one, to find your content and knowledge gaps and plan what to study. The evaluations continue after the classes finish, tracking your scores so you can keep improving until you are ready to write.

How soon can I retake the NCLEX-RN or NCLEX-PN?

NCSBN allows up to 8 attempts a year, with 45 test-free days between them. Some regulators set a longer wait or fewer attempts, so check yours before you register again.

How soon can I retake the REx-PN?

You wait at least 60 days between REx-PN attempts, which allows up to 6 a year, and there is no limit on the total number, according to CNO and BCCNM. In Ontario your CNO application stays open for 2 years; after that you apply again.

How many times can I write the CPNRE?

Your provincial regulator sets the CPNRE attempt limit. In Alberta, CLHA allows 4 attempts; after a fourth fail you must complete a practical nursing program again. The CPNRE runs in 6 month-long windows a year (January, March, May, July, September and November), so a rewrite goes into a later window.

Should I choose the retaker program or the 12-week program?

If your next attempt is close and you mainly need to fix gaps, the 4-week retaker program fits. If you need to rebuild your content system by system, the 12-week program covers everything. A call with Mandeep Dhaliwal, RN, helps you choose.
