How classes work

What happens in a week of the program?

A 2-hour live class every weekday, Monday to Friday. Every week follows the same four moves.

  1. 01

    Learn the system

One body system at a time, with a workbook for every system.

  2. 02

    Practise in class

5,200+ NCLEX-style mock questions, and many worked through in class with the reasoning behind each answer, so there's no question bank to buy. Try 30 free practice questions first.

  3. 03

    Test every week

A weekly test tracks your progress and shows what needs more work. The free study planner spreads your own hours across the test plan.

  4. 04

    Evaluate one to one

1:1 evaluations after the classes, until you pass your exam.

How much does the 12-week program cost?

The 12-Week Comprehensive Review Program costs $1,200 CAD in tuition, reduced from $1,500 with a 20% discount. Exam and regulator fees are separate and paid to them directly.

How long is the program, and when are the classes?

The 12-Week Comprehensive Review Program is 12 weeks of 2-hour live classes, Monday to Friday, 6 to 8 p.m. Eastern Time (4:30 to 6:30 a.m. IST, Tuesday to Saturday). Every class is recorded, so you can watch it again or catch up after a shift.

Which exams does the 12-week program prepare me for?

The 12-Week Comprehensive Review Program prepares RNs for the NCLEX-RN (Canada, the USA and Australia), and RPN/LPNs for the NCLEX-PN (USA), REx-PN or CPNRE (Canada). Classes build content knowledge system by system, then critical thinking, clinical judgement and safe decision-making with real clinical examples.

What is included in the 12-week program?

The 12-Week Comprehensive Review Program includes a workbook for every body system, 5,200+ NCLEX-style mock questions (many worked through in class, so there is no separate question bank to buy), Q&A in class, a weekly test to track your progress, and one-to-one evaluations after the classes until you pass your exam.

How do I reserve my seat in the 12-week program?

Register and pay online on the Focused Nursing Prep Classes registration page, which takes about 5 minutes. You pay by card, or, in Canada, in instalments with Klarna or Afterpay, and your seat is confirmed as soon as your payment is received. You can also send your name and exam to Mandeep Dhaliwal, RN, on WhatsApp at +1 (519) 617-6776, or use the seat request form on the 12-week program page.

What if I don't pass my exam?

The 12-Week Comprehensive Review Program fee is valid for 1 year from the start of your batch. If you write your exam within that year and don't pass, you can join the live Zoom classes again at no extra cost until the year ends.

Can I get a refund?

Course fees at Focused Nursing Prep Classes are non-refundable. If a batch is cancelled or rescheduled, you can move to another batch or get a full refund. The full refund policy is in the terms of use.

Can I join while my credential assessment or regulator application is in progress?

Yes. Most nurses start preparing while their documents are being assessed, because CNO says the whole process can take about 12 months and the exam needs months of steady practice.

I have written my exam before. Which program is right for me?

The 4-Week Retaker Program usually fits: 4 weeks of live online classes built around your gaps, for $449 CAD. If you need to rebuild your content system by system, the 12-week program covers everything. A call with Mandeep Dhaliwal, RN, helps you choose.

Can you help with my nursing regulator application?

Yes. Focused Nursing Prep Classes offers eligibility and application support as a separate service, for $250 CAD per application. Your regulator still decides your eligibility, and its fees are separate. In British Columbia, BCCNM requires you to complete and submit your own application, so there the help is guidance and you submit it yourself.

What happens after I pass?

Mandeep Dhaliwal, RN, helps with the remaining registration steps in Ontario and with your search for a first nursing job in Canada.
